Video Transcript for Review of the Pintle Hook, Bolt-On, 10K

Today we'll be reviewing part number 63013. This is the pintle hook from Tow Ready. It's going to provide a gross towing weight of 10,000 pounds to a maximum ton weight of 2000 pounds. The pintle hook can be bolted to a pintle hitch mount or directly to a reinforced truck bumper. All the mounting hardware that you need is included. It's made from a steel construction with a powder coat finish, so it's going to stand up really well against rust and corrosion. If we take a look at the mount holes they're going to give us a diameter of 17/32 of an inch.

Measuring center on center this direction is going to measure 3 3/8 inch. Center on center up and down is going to measure 1 3/4 inch. To gain access to make a connection all you got to do is release the pin, lift up on the T handle and pull the hook back. Then you can connect here to the net 00:00:49 ring. If we take a measurement of the inside distance here it's going to give us an opening of 1 3/4 inch. The safety pin and clip is attached with a chain so we don't got to worry about losing it.

This system is also really easy to install. Today for our demonstration we're going to show you how to install it on a pintle hitch mount. All you have to do is place it up to the mount, line up the mount hole that you want to use, place the bolts through. For our demonstration I'm just going to do the top two. On the back side all you have to do is install your lock washer and secure it by tightening down the nuts.

Once you have all four bolts installed along with all the rest of the hardware you should be ready to make your connection point and get out on the road. That's going to do it for our review of part number 63013. This is the pintle hook from tow ready rated at 10,000 pounds. .
